How can I repay my website designer, who did the free of charge?
5 Comments | Posted by admin in website designer
I had a friend from the Philippines volunteer to assist in designing my website. She is a professional webpage designer and has declined any method of payment. It’s against my morals to take without giving back, so what can I do to repay her, knowing she lives in a distant location?
That should have said "who did the site free of charge."
Give her credit on the website, with a link to her website, so that people who like the design will be able to contact and hire her.
Or… when her birthday comes around, get her a real nice present. Or…. help her out with something she needs help with.

Just don’t forget that you owe her a solid.

I agree with answer number one. Give the lady credit and visitors to your website a way to contact her if they are interested in her work. Make sure you clear it with her first. She may want to set up a different address or location for possible clients to access than the one you have for her now.

Maybe you could send her something she might like. She may have something she likes to collect. Find out what her intrests or hobbies are outside of web designing and then you’ll have something to go on. She did something nice for you and it was treat not having to pay for it, so treat her to something she would not normally get for herself. I also agree that you should give her credit on your site. There are lots of people who would benifit from knowing and it would definately help her get more work.
