Where can live sports scoring services be purchased by small-time fantasy sports web developers?

It seems only the big online fantasy sports sites have access to ‘live scoring’ capabilities. Is there a monopoly on this information so that small-time web developers cannot provide this service through their websites?

I’d imagine that you would need the permission of the nfl and nflpa. I am interested in the type of feedback you get since I am in the beginning stages of producing my own fantasy sports website with mock draft capabilities.
