how do advance web developers make websites?

I don’t think massive websites are made by coding each and every line on notepad or any text editor. If that is the case then web designing is the most difficult task ever. So what di these people use? Dreamweaver, or any other tool like that???
Coding can take a long time so we usually use Dreamweaver, Front Page, or even visual Web Developer

through some type of ide tool – the specific tool is based more on personal preference and include visual studio, dreamweaver, silverlight, cold fusion, etc.
but rarely if at all possible frontpage since it includes so much extra code…

normaly we use Dreamweaver, microsoft front page…. like that………… mainly it depends what type of language we use for develop(HTML, XML, PHP, JAVA, .NET, ASP)
